Is there a version of VR Turning that will work via a serial (RS232) port?
I might be able to justify purchasing a licence for VR Turning, but upgrading the serial card to USB is out of the question.
Thanks, Max.

Hi Max
VR Turning will work on either RS232 or USB depending on settings & as long as the machine has a SmartStep or DenStep control with a VR Eprom
fitted(2.0 Beta or 2.1)
Before that we used Dos software & a Dos eprom.

The control card is I believe a Eurostep and is pictured in this thread:-

I have a V2.1 EPROM. Can this be fitted to the Eurostep control card?
Thanks, Max.

Hi Max
Yes you can replace it with the 2.1 EPROOM & then connect using VR Turning.
