Help with emergency stop button

Post by MikeR » Sat 20 Nov , 2021 1:39 am

I put a new emergency stop button / switch in . It was missing . I’m thinking now it had a problem with a connection before I received it . I’ve changed it the E stop twice with the correct one . The E Stop prompt is still comes on . Where should I start checking ? Connections on the board ? What terminals would it be ? Can I E stop be Hooked up backwards on the switch ? Would It harm any electronics if I tried to reverse the wires ? What other parts are affiliated with the E stop ? Any schematics ? Thank you
Is there a relay ? Because I have one making noise?

Could you provide a few photos of the outside of the machine where the power cable comes in? also the front of the machine.

Is there a robot port on the side of the machine? There may be an E-Stop link needs connecting there.

Also a photo of the serial Number plate would help.

It looks like an early machine probably manufactured in the USA.

Absolutely Thanks Steve . Here’s some photos . There is that opening in the electrical box ??. . And I’m not sure where the serial number is at ..? I looked all over . Nothing missing . Must be under something .? No holes for an arm in the router assembly . I’ll keep looking for the serial number .
