Denford motors

Hi, I am trying to convert a Denford 2600 router to machine 3. I am now at the motor tuning position. All the motors are original bar the z axis motor. My problem is that the X and Y motors are not sounding too happy once set to move the correct distance. My feeling is that the micro step setting on the drivers are wrong. Can anyone please let me know the correct micro step setting for these motors. Thanks.
