Easiturn3 blowing drive fuses.

Post by Jaddah » Mon 24 Jun , 2019 23:42 pm

Hi,
Please excuse my ignorance in advance. I've had a look at an Easiturn3 lathe for a friend as the X/Z axes aren't powering up.

Found 2 fuses blown in the stepper drive motherboard so replaced like for like and they promptly blew again. Didn't when I had the stepper motor drivers disconnected, so I suspect there's something wrong with them (am slightly suspicious that both appear to have failed in the same way). Can't seem to see the schematic for this wee motherboard on the drawings I have downloaded, could someone kindly point me to a source in order that I can verify the fuse ratings? Also any similar experience or suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks,
John
