I recently purchased an Easiturn 3, which is in full working order. It has previously been fitted with with a Teco/Direct Drive E2-202-H1F Digital Inverter as the original one kept overheating. Everytime the inverter is switched on, it trips the downstairs RCD, which appears to be a possibility with all digital inverters. Hence I have a two fold question. Firstly, is there anyway of preventing such spurious trips such as an Isolation Transformer, as just changing the RCS to a type B isn't a direct possibility due to the garage being on the downstairs socket circuits. Secondly, if there isn't an easy way of preventing such spurious trips with the installed inverter, would I be better off switching to my "spare" inverter, which came out of another Easiturn 3? If I would be, then please can someone point me in the correct direction of where I can find the wiring diagram for the control connections as diagram A3-300024 doesn't tie up directly with the board. I assume that if you reset the trip and start up again it works OK?

If so it will be the inrush current charging the capacitors in the drive that creates the problem.

We supply other machines that have a similar problem so the power specification states:

Mains Supply

Mains supply required: 220/240 Volts, 50 Hz, 13 Amps
Note: Machine must NOT be connected through an RCD. The supply
should be fitted with a 16Amp motor circuit breaker Type’D’.
