Hello
I have a Sherline 4345 DC motor from a Micromill, and I need to connect it to a Sprint 400 board. The Sprint has four outputs, two for armature and two for field. The motor itself has 5 wires - red, orange, white, green and black. I have no idea how to connect them. The red and black pair have a resistance of about 7 ohms, the white and orange about 1 ohm. The green doesn't seem to have any continuity with any of the other wires but about 1.5k to the body of the motor. Ideas?
Thanks

Great, thank you.
Since my board seems to blow a fuse (or trip the RCD) every time I connect power, would there be any problem with a much simpler set-up:
a step down transformer, bridge rectifier, and relay to switch on and off? I wouldn't be able to vary the speed and direction but that doesn't matter to me much.

Hi,
Find attached drawings of how the Sprint drive was connected to the Micromill in 2000
