The Internal RS232 Cable part number is BI01812A

This cable was manufactured by Lindy and is black in colour.

The cable was used on all machines (other than the MicroMill and MicroTurn supplied in the USA)

The External cable used in conjunction with this cable was BI01812GG

Have you the details of the lead fitted to the USA machines?
I think we fitted them to all the MicoTurn/MicroMill built. Not just the USA ones.

As far as I can remember, the Micro machines would work externally on a standard pin to pin (or straight) cable - I think this was because the USA could get hold of straight cables more easily. So, the internal cable from the bulkhead to the control was different to the UK machines and had the relevant pins crossed over (ie Transmit Tx -> Receive Rx and Rx -> Tx )
You'll notice from Steve's post that the internal cable pin 2 (9way) is connected to pin 3 (25way) which in effect is a straight connection (ie, Tx to Tx) because 9 way connectors decided to be different to 25 way and swap the functions of pins 2 and 3

Confused ? You will be...
