been offered a zero turn is it worth it

Hi all
I have just been offered a zero turn. But always a but.To get the machine out
they removed the rear cabinet and cut the wires yes cut them.It worked fine before this and
has the probe present with all manuals and is in good cosmetic condition.my question is it worth buying and having new cables made.
The one saving grace is they did number them so shouldnt be to difficult. Are they good lathes when working. Also what kind of figure is a fair price to pay

Regards
Neal
