Hello people
My first post here. When Covid started I decided to get my first and last lathe. After long time looking I have finally managed to find a TDS6 Bowl Lathe! Union Graduates seem to go for big money
I will add vfd but otherwise want to keep it as original as possible.
Can anyone help with a RAL code for this colour?

It came with a Burnerd independent four jaw chuck which will not be too user friendly. Dedicated chucks are hard to find. What are other folks solutions? I don't want an adapter if I can avoid it. Is it better to machine the spindle or machine the back-plate of a modern chuck?

The machine came with most original parts ( including a Denford dust extractor unit for the out-board sanding disc!) but if anyone has a large curved tool rest ..... I'm interested

If there was a cover or something you could take off, you could take it to a paint shop that had an electronic colour matcher, they could give you a RAL number which might be OK for your purposes. And possibly mix you some paint.

Answer from Denford, several years ago: the Denford blue-green colour was a unique mix (no RAL, BS or other colour code) - so your only option is to get a match done at a specialist shop.
