Modifying a Myford Quick Release Toolpost to suit Vicerory

Hello to you all,
Finally got the lathe working, now I have to address some minor issues like making a handle that was missing form the Myford tool-post/holder. That was the easy part as I also had the original Denford tool post for the lathe. The real modification is that the tool holders run out of adjustment before the tool in the holder can be aligned on centre.
Hence, what I am intending to do as a modification is the have made a 5mm thick spacer made, then drill and tap this spacer to the bottom of the myford tool change post. This spacer would have to replicate the plan view shape of the myford tool post which is complex, and would require a CNC milling facility to make an accurate spacer.
Any other helpful suggestions are welcome.
Kindest regards, John R.
