Moved this into the Viceroy section.
I had a look at some of our old drawing scans but can't find anything relevant for you, only this...

cheers for looking
do you think it should have 2 stepped pullets or one stepped and one with 4 same size wheels
just been looking at other makes some are using 2 different pulleys
my viceroy lathe uses 2 identical wheels

Found the drawing for the motor pulley - will try to get it scanned next week.
The diameters are slightly different to the spindle pulley.

The motor spec should be in the parts lists - which I thought were on here somewhere.

Cheers Andy
That would be much appreciated
The motor was a 3/4 hp 1400rpm 3 phase got a guy on flebay to check his for me
im planning using it in my home workshop so going for a single phase motor I want to modify it to take a 3hp 4 pole still 1400rpm for more torque
any thoughts on this?? things I haven't considered??

3hp sounds way over the top to me - if you're wanting to use large drills (i.e. bigger than about 3/4") you'll need to decrease the speed anyway. Even if usinga 3phase motor via an inverter, 2hp should be more than enough for this size of machine.

Anyhow, pulley drawings attached.
I think PD3-21 and PD3-22 are right for your drill - PD3-5 and PD3-12 being for the older model.

That was brilliant thank you for uploading those drawings where do you come by such things??
I found a pulley on ebay of those dimensions so dont have to get one made happy days :D
an old guy round the corner gave me a single phase motor of 1 hp 1400 rpm that fits nicely
I wired it all up last night had to doctor the three phase switch to work on 1 phase I rewired the light its all nice and neat
thanks to your help it should be turning a drill bit early next week
Thanks again
Gary

By getting to know the right people
Glad you're getting it going - please post a picture or two when its done.
We haven't got many postings on the pedestal drills and it does make it easier to answer queries when we can see what we're talking about.
