Hi,

I have a Vesalaser 2.30 and I would like to cut a phenolic paper laminate like the VOLTIS HP 2061 form the Isovolta Group.
I tried to find the best laser settings on the web/forums, but I had no answers.
Could you please help me to find some configurations to cut the material with a 1.5 mm thickness?

Best regards,
Fernando Ribeiro

For a resin bonded paper, I think I'd start with the settings for MDF or Acrylic and adjust the power according to how it cuts.
Hopefully the fumes are safe ? - You should check this with the supplier

These laminates can be cut with the CO2 laser. Thickness up to 3 or 4 mm should be no problem if you have at least 50 watts to work with.

Hi,

Thanks for your advices!
I have done what you said and I started to use the acrylic settings, and... didn't work. Then, I tried to use the maximum power (30 watts) and the lower velocity, and... didn't work too.
The power of my VersaLaser is too lower for a 1.5 mm thickness!
I have a self-made laser system with 200W... I think that will be enough! xD
