We have recently installed an upgraded software for our Versalaser VLS 3.5 (30 watt) version 5.28.52.2.......is this version the wrong one for this Versalaser ? We havent replaced the previous version, we have had a new hard drive added to the computer as the old one was too old. Now all the settings for materials are at '0' there are no stored ones, and we had a problem homing Z axis, think we may have solved this one, but the Laser is acting like its never been used before. Please advise as we are needing the Laser for Open Evening tonight and are in a slight panic !

Sorry we missed your post yesterday, I hope the open evening went well and you managed to get some output from the laser.

Version 5.28.52.2 is the latest version, and is right for your Versalaser VLS 3.5 (30 watt). We have had no complaints from other users so far.

On the Lasercam CD you can set the countdown timers for opening the door ect and tick the box so that Z homes everyting you power up the laser.

In the system tab, tick AUTO Z, this compensates for different material thicknesses
