Software drawing format and general software questions

Hi
I'm thinking of buying a laser cutter for wood and like the look of the Versa Laser.
My first questions are about the software:

Does the Techsoft drawing software come with the machine?
In what format does it save the drawings?
Can it import different formats (such as .dxf)?

As the laser operates as a printer translating the lines from the software, can any software be used such as Autocad ?

Thanks for any advice

Techsoft is a 3rd party piece of software and comes at extra cost. It can import DXF's.
Corel Draw is another commonly used drawing package used with Lasers. Our Laser CAM 2D Design is also ideal.

The Laser in effect is just a printer so any software package that can print will work.

To have sucsess you must have a package that can output both Vector and Bitmap data.

For cutting the Laser follows vector lines. If they are not vectors it will not cut.

Red fine vector lines are used for cutting, Blue vector fine lines are used for engraving Bitmaps and thick lines are raster filled.

Would you like someone from sales to contact you? we could arrange for you to have a demo or visit an existing customer?
