image shifting while machine still running
What causes the image to shift from one location to another while the machine is running? You find that halfway while the job is running, the image shifts to right hand side and continues. Sometimes the machine starts banging as the lense does not 'sense' home position.

We have seen these symptoms before with some computers which have some hardware problems with the USB ports.
We had this exact problem with some brand new DELL C521 PC's
The USB ports seemed to start sending garbage to the machine after around 10 minutes into the job - it seemed to work fine for small / shorter jobs, but went crazy after a while.
We fixed it by fitting an additional PCI USB card to the computer. This card was based on NEC USB chips.
Its also worth checking the Versalaser software is up to date, and that the USB cables are good quality.
If all this fails, then you will need an engineer to inspect and possibly change the control card inside the laser.

Maybe the air assist hose is causing it to slip. Sometimes the air assist hose will develop memory and curve out of the channel it runs in. This will then get in the way of the focus carriage. You can have them try to turn the hose a little and see if they can get it out of the way and run in the channel better.
