It looks more like a BBQ grill the morning after a party

So how do you suggest cleaning it ? I have removed the loose debris but the baked on charcoal / resin / acrylic is pretty extensive and the rear side of acrylic products are quite disgusting after cutting.
Oh and it stinks really quite awful.... I hold my breath when removing cut products.
I have read various forums where oven cleaner is claimed to do the job, "but don't leave it on too long or it will dissolve the aluminium" but how long is too long??
Others suggest a garage to steam clean it .... Or a blow torch .... Then Krud Kutter sounds to be the business but not something I have seen in my local Tesco.
So what is the advised method please ?
