Triton - back lash

My Triton has a "back lash" movement and I would like to know to know how to eliminate --- is the linear slide going bad?

The linear slides have carriages fitted which connect to the slides. The slides have a ballscrew that drives it. The ball screws are anti backlash by design. If the nut has backlash then the whole ballscrew needs to be replaced. The more common cause of backlash is the bearing securing the end of the ballscrew or play in the pulleys or belt.

If the bearings from one of the carriages have come out --- the carriage alone (if no damage to the rail) or the linear slide could be replaced.
