Depends on what version / age the machine is.

I'd guess it will be fairly old, so this may do the trick:

Just had a look at the Triac today, it is a 1986 machine.

Will I be able to hook it up to a 'new' pc (well fairly new 8 years old running win 98!) to use the Industrial text editor program??

If so how should i connect it at the pc end, serial port?

Thanks
Roy

I believe you can hook it up to the RS232 on the PC, running Industrial text editor, but I've had no experience on it myself.

There have been loads of questions and answers about getting programs into an old Triac on here, search for drip feed, micro cassette, RS232 Triac. Pretty sure there are RS232 cable diagrams as well...
