Triac Fanuc 21im soft Limits

Post by SAW2020 » Mon 27 Jan , 2020 11:53 am

Hey all,

I recently purchased a Triac with Fanuc 21im with only 38hrs total cycle time, it a real nice clean machine. I had some error in the Y axis while machining and after putting a clock on the table I found some back lash so pulled the motor off the Y and tweaked the locking ring at the back and have reduced the backlash.

when I put the motor back on and referenced the machine the Y axis hits the hard limit and faults out, the soft limits are all over the place as well in the Y only.

I've read about CAN + P this will ignore the soft limits but still the axis hits the hard limit and faults, I can access the soft limit parameters but unsure of what to change to get the axis back in sync so it will reference

The axis hits the hard limit just before (REL) -47mm at the front of the machine

Stroke limit in Parameter in Y+ 1000 & Y-149000

any help would be appreciated on this as i'm stuck

Many thanks

Sorted it - went into zero return parameter setting 1815 to set new home position :D
