Hi, The lube system on my triac is motor driven. Can anyone tell me what motor it is, voltage etc. without having to strip it?

More importantly, I think it is a stepper motor, in which case what is the step rate?

Thanks for any help!

Hi

I stripped the lube system on our machien a few years ago. I remember the unit was made by a manufacturer who still sold the same lubricator and had data sheets available on their website - unfortunatly I cannot remember the name at the moment.

The lubricator is powered by a small AC or DC motor, not a stepper. One of the options when purchasing the unit new was to specify the gearbox ratios you wanted to give the delivery ratio you want.

Best thing to do would be to whip the cover off and get your mirror out to find the manufacturer.

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for the info. Luckily managed to retrieve the part number and find the website

https://www.devcocorp.com/american/bijur_tm1.htm

The pump I have is C2894.

Its intersting that a friend told me that the oil must be changed regulary or the injectors can become blocked!
And the website recommends a filter change twice a year.

To Denford admin: Do you sell the filters for these pumps?

ok thats a shame!

For anyone who wants to know more about these pumps, a data sheet request was not forthcoming so taking it apart, the motor is a syncron type like used in central heating motorised valves. AC mains powered it just winds up and stalls safely against the pressure so can't really be abused!

I finally received the datasheet for this pump.
Find it here:

The Filters are only available from the company in the US at $35 each.
Think I will just clean mine, Ha.
