021 P/S ALARM

Post by Brycam » Fri 22 May , 2009 15:17 pm

Hi Guys,

Running a 3D profiling program I get an 021 P/S ALARM on the line I have marked ***, I dont know much about Fanuc as I mainly use Heidenhain but I thought my OM-B should understand IJK moves, is this a working plain issue and can it be sorted by configuring the control? (I read somewhere about having to set up the PLC for 3D...)

Cheers,

Bry.

Had a quick look on cnczone and found this:

021 is Illegal Plane axis using either G17,G18,or G19.
To see if you have the options.
Check 907 bit 2 for Simultaneous 3 axis move.
Or 910 bit 3 for Helical Interpolation.

I would imagine your problem is that helical (3 axis arc) interpolation is not turned on

I have checked my perameters and they only seem to go up to 823... :?

Also the 5 softkeys along the bottom of the screen never have any options available, is this a perameter setting to?

823 could be the last Diagnostic bit :?:
Keep hitting the DGNOS/PARAM button and it'll flip between params/diagnostic and possibly something else...

You may also have to set PWE to 1 and turn off the program protect key to get to see the params ?

Sorry to be vague its a while since I played with a Fanuc !
btw - which control is it - 0MC ?

PWE parameter I think is on the settings (handy?) screen - parameter 100 or 101 comes to mind...
I seem to remember hitting the offset/settings button, then PageUp key to get to it :?
