Re: Triac Fanuc jog wheel and three phase power converter
Fanuc Pulse Generator wheel is usually very free and moves in very small "clicks" ie positions so it sounds like it is "gunged up" and needs a good clean out or there is a mechanical fault, either way it will need to be stripped. If you want to run a 3 phase machine from a single phase outlet the "rule of thumb" is usually 2 1/2 times the spindle HP plus minimum 2 times the sum of the 3 servo motors HP, then add a bit for all the fans that run in the cabinet and things like coolant pump etc then you should be looking at a minimum 5 Hp unit, probably 7+ Hp to be comfortable.
