Post by nthorpey » Wed 26 Apr , 2006 13:24 pm

Need to get some tooling together for my machine.

I need to know what taper is on the back end of tool and if anyone sells them.

Ideally need a small collet chuck, with usual size collets.

drill chuck

small face mill.

many thanks in advance

Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

I think the best place to start looking would be www.ebay.co.uk (if you haven't already looked there)

A guy on ebay took a lot of our old stock of collets and chucks etc.. - try him:

I've just been told that the taper is a BT35

OK Thanks.

Nick are you talking about the spindle taper, which I believe is R8, or do you have a quick change holder fitted to the machine (which will have the R8 taper on the back end) if it is the quick change I'm not sure what taper it is but I know where to get the units.
