HI I HAVE BEEN TASKED TO SORT OUT 3 OF THE COLLEGES DENFORD MACHINES THAT HAVE BECOME UNSERVICEABLE DUE TO VARIOUS REASONS MAINLY UNSKILLED USERS I BELIEVE..
PLEASE BEAR IN MIND I KNOW NEXT TO NOTHING ABOUT THESE MACHINES ONLY WHAT I HAVE GLEANED FROM THE MANUALS I AM AN ELECTRONICS TECH NOT A MACHINE MAN
MAYBE THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN 3 THREADS....?
1
FANUC TRIAC 0-M WAS SUFFERING FROM AN ERROR 101 OR 102 ? DUE TO SOMEONE POWERING DOWN WHEN IN RECIEVE MODE..
AFTER SOME TIME WE HAVE RE-ENTERED THE CORRUPT CODES..
BUT WE NOW HAVE 3 ERRORS WHICH WERE NOT THERE BEFORE WE ASSED ABOUT WITH IT..
1004 DRIVE TRANSFORMER OVERHEAT ( this comes on immediately)
1010 LOW AIR PRESSURE
520 OVER TRAVEL +Y
I CANT FIND THE >800 SCREEN AND BASICALLY I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PROCEED
2
A CYCLONE 0-T
ERROR
1003 TOOLPOST FAILED
3
SENIOR 200 FANUC OT
410 SERVO ALARM X AXIS EXCESS ERROR
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY POINTERS TO HELP ME PLEASE OR IS THERE ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH THESE MACHINES WHO FANCIES A DRIVE TO DEVON TO HELP ME GET THESE MACHINES GOING AT ANYTHING LIKE A SENSIBLE CALLOUT CHARGE.
THANKS..ALEC

HELP WITH ERRORS NEEDED PLEASE

The Triac sounds like you need to input the correct 450 diagnostics. (Diagnostics 450 to 458 ish are what Denfords set specific to each machine.)
See if you can find a record of what they were shipped out with.
If you have a ATC fitted then you will need to get a air supply to overcome the Air Message.
Have you set the 700 parameters? (machine limits)
We may still have a record of them at Denfords if you can supply the serial number & year of manufacture.
The Cyclone maybe similar.
It also uses 450 diagnostics.
I have attached a copy of them.
You need to check diagnostics 451.0 & 451.1
The Senior sounds a bit like you may have a value in parameters 555 that is causing the motor to jump. Try setting 555 & 556 to 0

my book doesn't list error 102 so it must have been 101 ... the book says set data PWE to 1 and turn on the power while pushing the delete to clear the memory.FANUC TRIAC 0-M WAS SUFFERING FROM AN ERROR 101 OR 102 ? DUE TO SOMEONE POWERING DOWN WHEN IN RECIEVE MODE..

I think I might have found the param - 517
if this is set to 0 then loop gain is set for x y etc (presumably on the servos page) so.... I reckon this should be set to around 3000 or 0, maybe some oik has set it to 1

Re: Triac problems...
450 Diagnostic numbers in the Triac are used to enable / disable certain options in the machine.
If you have wiped the Machines memory you must set diag 453.0 to 1, then shut down and power the machine back up. This sets up some default values (and in turn resets 453.0 back to 0)
Now from the list below you can see you need to set Diag 450 bit 6 (your machine doesn't have a transformer thermal sensor) and probably 452 bit 5 (your machine doesn't have an air pressure switch ??).
Now you should be almost there... the overtravel message should clear once you jog away from the software limit.
