I have just picked up a Starturn 5!

Hi folks
I picked up a Starturn 5 a couple of weeks ago
I have the -
Lathe
8 position motorised tool post (fitted with a turning/facing tool, parting tool and threading tool) (not sure how or what tools you mount in the round holes)
Tail stock with chuck
the big black control box (dated Nov-1993)
A 9 pin to 25pin moulded lead (so need to sort out leads)
a Desk-top tutor keyboard
1 manual titled LatheCAM Designer for V2.2 - 2000
1 manual titled Start-up Procedure for Starturn PC
NO software at all.
I have never run a CAM lathe but have much experience with Denfords Micromill 2000 and the Roland CAMM3.
I have access to
techsoft 2d design tools from V1 through to V2
Pro Desktop
Creo Parametric
Deskproto (post processor that direct drives the CAMM3 or will create G code for milling)
VRMilling (can't remember which version I started on but circa 2001) I think currently V5.
I have access to old PC's with RS232 so no problems building up a DOS6.2 Win3.1 or 3.11, Win98 or XP machine (I told the wife they would be useful one day!)
Could someone tell me what I need to get this fired up and running. I have been to the download section but as I have discovered the Starturn 5 is a mythical beast that not much is known about, I am a bit lost.
Can I do designs on ProDesktop or techsoft 2D or do I need another design program?
I have also just contacted a guy in America who is selling a complete Starturn 5 set up, inc manuals, software and PC on eBay to see if he would be willing to copy the manuals.
Many thanks in advance, sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum and if I repeating a very common question.
Pete
