I would like some basic knowlegde about setting up the machine:

How do you set the tool datum on the block you are machining?

Is the the spindle activation only done through the G code file?

What sort of Speeds and feeds will I achieve?

This will get me started.

I can't find a manual that old.

Have you run the software MrMagoo pointed you to ? It looks like there may be some basic help in the Starmill SMCU software

Other than that, I guess you need help from someone else who is still using this system
