Starmill dongle

Post by stepheng » Wed 15 Feb , 2012 14:07 pm

Hi, I have a Starmill PC, all is operating with VR Milling.
When I start Mill Cam design I get the log in window, you click on Administrator but I have no password, can I introduce a new password.
Or I have the original owners code to run program. Which ever I use the screen comes up Dongle not present.
I have three dongles non of which will work .
Any suggestions..

What opperating system are you running from?

Try running "drights.exe" to check the dongles.

how do I get it to stay open
Open command prompt first (Start > Run and type "cmd" then OK)
Then type something like "c:\denford\drights.exe" into the command prompt and press enter
Type exit to close the command prompt

Hi, Have checked dongle through drights.exe, and it says it recognises Fanucm, fanucmd, mill cam designer, denford language.
and the dongle number as on the dongle.
So all appears to be recognised.
When I now click on mill cam design on the windows desk top I get Dongle not recognised, any suggestions.
Thanks
