speeds and feed for non ferrous on the Router 2600 Pro

The above machine is not an option in your published speeds and feeds document, could you give me an idea of what would be a suitable setting for various non ferrous machining.

Hi,

The values will depend on the tooling and also the material.

We have found that the best finish is created with a feed of around 600mm/Min at about 12000RPM in aluminium

We have also cut at 24000RPM and you can then increase the feedrate acordingly. The problem with this is tool life.

I would tend to try programming 24000RPM and 1000mm / Min and see how it cuts. You can turn the speed overide down to 50% and also adjust the feedrate from 0- 1500mm Min using the override to find the best cutting condition for the tool and material. Try a depth of about 30% -50% of the cutter diameter.

Once you have these values you can use them in the future as default.

The feed speed and depth all depend on the cutter type and diameter. We tend to use 2 flute carbide cutters.

The larger the diameter the higher the feedrate you will be able to use
