Looking for some assistance with our Router 2600, We have been having issues with the router for a few years, and have never been able to get the thing working 100%.
One of the main problems is that due to buildup of dust in the corner of the machine, half way through a job, the machine cannot return to the home position, and is not correctly aligned, it then proceeds to slide back across the work being done and leaves a huge scratch in what we were cutting (a toilet seat) which ruins the job.
We have a strong extraction system fitted to the upper left corner on the left side of the machine, however it does not seem to be in a good enough position to collect all of the particles flying around inside.
would be great to get this working as its thousands of £ just sitting collecting dust at the moment, and advice greatly appreciated!

Can you post a photo of what's happening ?
I'm guessing it's building up in the far right corner of the cabinet...
One suggestion: if you can still do the job with reduced travel, you may be able to extended the X home switch striker plate so that the machine dosn't home as far to the right (meaning the axis won't compress the dust as much and stall the X stepper motor)

It caould be stalling in the Z axis, throughly clean the guides abd threaded drive bars sn lubricate with a dry silicon spray, let it dry over night and see if this helps.
