Orac tool changer motor faulty

Post by Skaaprib » Thu 26 Sep , 2013 21:25 pm

Hi Guys
Anyone that knows if I can replace an Orac changer motor and with what can I replace it? Mine is faulty and Denford does not carry stock of those any more. Can I replace it with some other brand of motoer instead? I am in the process of retrofitting the lathe with the Mesa cards and Linuxcnc.
Thanks
Johann

i'd replace it with a stepper motor, you don't need the 60:1 reduction box then. It'll be faster and quieter.
