hi to everybody.I bought an old orac 1983 make. i need help to run my orac on existing system as i m a student so can't spend money to convert it to modern electronics.first preference to run it on its own system.i m attaching the pictures in which i mentioned my queries. i will be thankful to the forum for helping me out from this problem. the bleeper board is quite different PC1521 and PC1520 for keypad panel i found no connection diagram in electrical drawings of orac. computer interface board is also different as mentioned in drawings PC1600 with three 20 pin cable connectors whereas in drawing its 26 pin molex connector.how and where to connect 20 pin data cable of processor board. Two modules marked T.I.O.1 both are same where as in drawing they are mentioned T.I.O.A and T.I.O.B and pin connection of these are also different from them. both of these board have five 20 pin connectors which are different from boards show in drawing.
A board of thomson company printed EFS-32u2-01 is also not shown in drawing.i searched a lot on internet but did not find any data about it, that what is it? serial and model no of machine is also shown in picture.
I will be thankful to the forum for solving my problem. waiting for your kind reply.

Try contact (PM) someone from here with a similar vintage ORAC and ask for photos of their electrical panel.
Seeing a working electrical panel would help a lot.

I notice the CPU is a GSM Syntel - have a really good search for more documents about that control on here.
It will have been used on various other machines like EasiTurn, Starmill/Starturn 4... so you may find better info on the electrics under those machine sections.

Hi, I have just converted my Orac to later 1983 electrics with a single cable to the later style keyboard, I have all the boards, cables etc that you would require along with manuals for your machine, if you are a student i will let you have what you require to get the machine up and running FOC, what location are you, may be some postage involved if your not in the southy east, if you are in my area perhaps we can meet and i can help you as my machine was not working when i purchased it, complete but with some electrical faults that needed a bit of finding, component level stuff.

By the way, the unidentified board is a memory board, yes you deffinatly need it and the CPU board connector is the RS232 I/O

I also have a problem with my orac's inverter.
If I am not asking too much, could you please send me a picture of the board you see (component side?) ...Parajust inverter.
There are two vertically mounted boards there. The one visible as you open the back cover with the fan.
