I have bought a Denford Orac Lathe which requires some attention.
Most of the work is done now but I am stuck on one part.

The touch key pad was ripped to pieces when I got the lathe, but I have managed to acquire a new one.
My trouble is the new one is made by SYNTELECT (I think it’s made by Denford but printed with Syntelect on it).
The Syntelect key pad has 28 pins on a single ribbon cable; the old Denford key pad has 14 pins on one cable and 15 pins on the other.
I think the Denford cables have a common on each ribbon and the Syntelect has only one common.
Does anyone have a diagram to convert these or if I can make a converter board?

I am hoping that some one might be able to help me with this.

Yes you are correct it has two 18-way sockets from the membrane, but one membrane has 14 pins used and the other has 15 pins used.

I think my best bet would be to ask if anyone has got a PC 1693 board with a single 28 way connector on it.
I could then swap the PC 1952 board with two 18 way connectors over with the PC 1693 board, problem solved.
