Removing Orac Chuck

Post by markgreenslade » Sun 19 Apr , 2009 14:15 pm

Hi,

I want to remove the three jaw chuck from my Orac and there is a plastic cover behind it which I can't figure out how to remove.
I'm sure I'm just being daft and missing something obvious but some instructions in how to take off the chuck would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

I think there is a grub screw at near the headstock holding the plastic cover on. If you remove it the ring will then slide off giving access to the nuts for the chuck.

There is indeed a grub screw which I have loosened and now the ring just slides off exposing the nuts.

I did actually find it before I posted the question but since I am totally blind, it just felt like a hole to me.

Thanks for your help.

Mark
