Orac upgrade
Hello all. I have recently obtained an orac lathe that seems to be complete and works most times i get the code entered correctly but i want to upgrade to something more user fiendly like the mach3 i have seen others use. I have searched but have not found exactly what i am looking for. does anyone have a "shopping list" and directions on how to convert this to newer software while keeping as much origional conponents as possible. Thanks.

Re: Orac upgrade
Lots of people have updated this type of machine..the main thing to search for is the control type. (use the google search box at the bottom of the forum)
There are other machine with the same control as yours that have been updated, so have a good look through this and the Triac and Starturn sections

Hi cam1000,
Where are you based?
I can upgrade it for you... I am doing one myself right now.
