Currently running VR Turning ver 1.53 through Smartsep board, Beta Eprom and RS232 comms. Are there any benefits to upgrading to ver 1.55? Don't intend going to USB anytime soon.
Also same for Novamill, currently running VR milling ver2.25 same as above but later Eprom fitted, is it worth moving up to ver2.32 or even ver5, I know there is a cost implication with ver5
Both on a Win XP sp3

Hi,
please see the change log for V1.55 of VR Turning
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6348
the release fixed an issue when changing between imperial and metric mode.
VR Milling 5 does add lots of features and is required when moving to a newer OS such as windows 7, 10 or 11. a very useful feature addition is the ability to import DXF files directly into VR Milling. currently VR Milling 5 is still supported whilst VR Milling 2 is no longer supported.

Re: Novaturn VR lathe SW
Mitch, many thanks, ver 5 sounds good with DXF format as most of my drawings are in ACAD.
