I am looking to use a robot to load/unload my Mirac. The only thing preventing this is my Mirac has a three jaw chuck that requires a person to use a key to open and close the chuck.
Does anyone know of a powered chuck that can be put on the Mirac and controlled using an output(s)?

We used a chuck from a company called "Richard Leader" in the UK Midlands, I think they are still in business. When we fitted these chucks in our CIM system Lathes we used I/O from the Lathes controller to control air solenoids and used the commands M10 (Chuck Open) and M11 (Chuck Closed). If this is not possible you could use an Output from the Robot controller to Open / Close the chuck.
Good Luck

Where are you located.
I have a service visit to go to a school in Sheffield to upgrade a Mirac Pc. There machine is fitted with a pnematic chuck but they are wanting to change for a Three Jaw manual chuck.
I am located in Pennsylvania, USA

If you had been in the UK I would have mentioned it to the school for you both to do a swap but I guess the distance prohibits that.
