Hello to you all,
Thought that this might be of interest how I fitted a DRO to my TDS lathe. A swivel mount was made from square section tube and a few other machined parts. The photos tell the story. For further info send me a PM request.
Kindest regards, John R.

Re: Fitting A BW Electronics DRO to My ViceroryTDS/PCS
Hi, nice job. I used BW readouts on my milling machine for several years, I would advise some cover over the wire on the cross slide to keep it clear of swarf, if you snag the wire any kinking will prevent accurate readings, in extreme case the wire will be prevented from reeling back on the internal spool, they can of course be replaced but prevention is better than cure.

Dear Emgee,
Thank you for your kind comments and advice, will try and make some sort of cover in the future when the weather gets warmer as the lathe has been put to bed for the winter months. Its too cold in my garage to work at the moment.
With regard to the senor wire snagging I accidentally released an extended wire on one of the sensors and found to my cost what results. Had to repair and re-tension the sensor wire, hours of work....
Kindest regards, John R.
