Q: My Vacuum pump is not working on my Microrouter
Microrouters fitted with an internal vacuum pump must be configured as a
'Microrouter V3' or higher in the VR CNC Milling software. On the menu bar, click Setup > Setup machine parameters. Enter denny,Right-click Microrouter V3 then left-click Set as active machine on the popup menu.
Q. The motor on the router will not turn on.
Should the motor fail to start, first check that the motor is plugged into the power socket inside the router cabinet.
Second, check that the router motor is switched on.
Also, check for blown fuses or indications within the control software.
Other possible causes are:
Worn or dirty brushes and commutator - inspect them with the power off !
Bearings have seized
Q. The spindle is not working

a.) Is the router motor plugged in and turned on?
b.) If the router being used is fitted with a spindle override knob, make sure the knob is turned far enough to the right.
c.) Check the spindle rate in the software.
d.) Check for blown fuses.
Q. The axes will not move.
a.) Check that the emergency stop button has been disengaged.
b.) If the router being used is fitted with a feed override knob, make sure the knob is turned far enough to the right.
c.) Check the feed rate in the software.
d.) Check that the machine has not triggered any overtravel limit switches.
e.) Check for blown fuses.
