Hi

Has anyone changed the spindle motor on a MicroRouter? At present I have the original Porter-Cable 3102 HD laminate trimmer unit rated at 120v-4A.

Just looking for something a bit quieter if anyone has any suggestions.

You could try the 110v 800 w Kress motor. Denford can supply a conversion bracket. The porter cable motor is a universal motor and runs off AC or dc. The drive supplies Dc so you have to bypass this and take the AC supply to the drive direct to the motor..
