Where can i find this type of fuse? urgently needed.. Microrouter v3

Where are you located?
The T donates semi delay (or slow blow)
Its a 6.3A 20mm glass body fuse.
In the UK you can get from FEC or RS and probably any other Electrical wholsaler.
RS have multiple types but here is a link to one

If in the US I know you can get them at Radio Shack

Oh no both links are unable to post to my country. So where else I can get this fuse? Unable to run this machine for awhile then. Hard for my students to finish their projects then.

I just got the same fuse and I fix it to the original location. But as soon as I turn the power on, suddenly it blown again. What is actually the problem with this microrouter? anyone please..

We need more information, There are numerous fuses on our machines, can you give me a fuse number ? usually they will be marked up F1, F2 , F3 etc. Check out the PDF attached is may help you identify the the fuse

Is it the Spindle drive fuse?

We need to know the fuse that is blowing.
Does it blow as soon as you turn on or when you try to start the spindle.
Try plugging the spindle motor directly to the mains and see if it works then..

i think it is fuse no. 1, it is located on the top most of the black box. First thing what i did is i unplug the big main power that connected to the microrouter with the fuse 6.0A. Then turned on the power, the fuse looked ok at first, then i turned it off and was connecting the power to cnc machine which then fuse blown. I think it must be spindle. but i have no experience to fix spindle. Btw i did not connect spindle motor during this test.

Have you done what Martin and Steve suggested ?
You should power up the Microrouter at first with everything connected, take a picture of the fuse in the electrical cabinet which has blown and post it with your reply on the forum so we can identify it.
Does the router spindle motor have a RED Slider (Motor 3102) on/off switch or a SILVER on/off toggle switch (Motor 86902) ?
1. If the Spindle motor has cut a lot of material, try using an air line to blow the dust out of the inside of it
2. Plug the spindle motor directly into a mains supply and see if it runs OK ( Check the voltage as i think we have fitted 240v and 110v motors at various times)
3. Check the carbon brushes, if these are worn then they need replacing

I haven't checked carbon brushes yet, but during the tested i unplug the porter cable. It is silver in colour.

Are you saying that the motor was unplugged from the Microrouter electrically and the fuse still blew ?
Check that the fuse on the Spindle Drive Board is still OK
Usually the positive charged carbon brush wears faster than the Negative, so you could swap them over to get a bit more life. The brushes when new are abot 15mm long

Yes unplugged.

Which one is that? Is it the long black fuse?

Is it Fuse F1 on the Denstep control card? (above the orange connector plug & mounted on the PCB)
If it is then inspect the transistors monted on the heatsink for damage. You sometimes see a hole or crack in one if has blown. Fuse F1 on the Denstep is the Axis Drive Fuse & should be a 6.3 amp fuse.

It sounds like the problem is not with the spindle.
Unless the fuse blows as you try to start the spindle this is not the problem.
I think you are saying the fuse blows just by powering on the machine.
Martin has suggested that if the fuse on the Control card is the one that is blowing the problem could be with one of the stepper motor drive chips.
Please send a photo of the Electrical cabinet and identify the fuse that is blowing.
Press in the E-stop button and power on the unit.
The 7 segment display should light on the Baldor control card. The fuse should not blow.
Then release the E-Stop, this should apply power to the axes drives if one of the drives is at fault the fuse would blow at this point.

yes martin, you are right. It is fuse above the orange connector.

where is the heatsink located? sorry I really confuse seeing this pcb board.

I checked the brushes and it looks fine and still 15mm. and I not sure about E-stop and the heatsink..
