Slop?

Post by robertjenkins » Mon 10 Jan , 2022 16:50 pm

Hi
I'm finding that I can move the X and Y tables a fraction of a millimetre by hand, even when the steppers are energised. Maybe 0.3mm. This doesn't feel good. Is there anything I can tighten?
Thanks

Do you mean you can move the x in x on the lead screw? If so that would be slop or back lash on the lead screw or nut, i dont think there is other than a new nut. If you mean when x is centred you can grab each end of the bed and twist it then that would be the gib strips there is adjustment screw on them
