Micromill clamping kit/ vice

Post by pdc » Tue 07 Feb , 2012 12:20 pm

Hi Everyone

I've recently bought a second hand mircomill, so far i've been using some home made clamps to keep the material in place whilst milling, however theres a lot of jatter and its hard to get a nice clear cut.

I've had a look round on the internet but can't seem to find any vices/ clamps which are small enough to work.

Could anybody recommend a decent clamping kit/ vice that would work which is affordable?

Thanks!

We offer a small milling vice at £115 or we use Mitee Bite offset cam Clamps.

The vice is shown above

Cam system is supplied with mounting L plate and clamp plate.

If you are getting chatter on the cut you probably need to adjust the Gib strips on the machine. Refere to the Sherline website for instructions on how to do this.
