MicroMill and Control Keyboard

Post by Jeff_HATC » Thu 13 Oct , 2011 16:13 pm

We have a micromill 2000 that is run via serial port.

Can I use one of my denford "desktop tutor" control keyboards to run my micromill?

If so, how would I do this since the micro mill only has 1 serial port.

The Micromill needs conecting to a computer via the serial lead. The desk top tutor can also be connected to the computer on a seperate serial port & will control the machine using dos based software.

Excellent. So I just need a system with 2 serial ports...com1 and com2, yes?

Then.... which software would I pick to run that tutor keyboard to be most compatiable with the micromill?
