MicroMill 2000 circa 1999-2004 Schematic and Photo

The MicroMills of this eara were built in the UK.

They are fitted with a Denstep control Card and have the Power Reset electronics built onto the side plate

Attached is the schematics are for the MicroMill 2000 Denstep.

The first diagrams had a circuit where when the E-Stop button is pressed the power is removed from the machine.

The second diagram A2-MILL-2K.pdf is for the machine in the photo where the MR is mounted on the side plate of the machine. The final attachment has micromill with sideplate. This shows all the connections for A2-MILL-2K.

On the front panel of the machine the Power indicator is also a pushbutton to turn the machine off. When the E-Stop is pressed the power remains on the machine and an ESR disconnects the spindle axes and indicates to the Control.

Hi, trying to get software to work running Micromill 2000 serial# 60318 purchased 2003 Emergency stop is not pressed but when connecting machine error message says it is. Have reconnected, tried turning off machine and restarting. Red#5 shows on back display when I took cover off. Not sure where fuses are, received diagrams but don't know how they match up to circuit board. Can't find F1 F2 F3 etc.. listed anywhere inside machine to locate fuses. Frustrated- please help. Thanks, Brian
From the description above the MR has to be working as this allows power to the transformer and the Denstep.

The drawing to be looking at is A2-MILL-2K

As the machine is powered on the Denstep has power we need to check if the ESR (E-Stop Relay) is operating when the E-stop button is pressed and released. If the Relay is not operating then the problem will probably be with a contact of the E-Stop Pushbutton

As we know the 24V DC is present (as the Denstep has power) the circuit is very simple to energise the ESR.

The 24V is wire Number 10 this connects to a contact of the E-Stop Button and then back as wire No 12 to the coil of the E-Stop Relay.

If the E-Stop relay is switching then the problem will have to be with either the relay itself or the wiring to the Denstep.

Attached is a sketch of the E-stop circuit.

Check the wires are connected correctly.

With the power to the machine disconnected measure on ohms across the relay contacts with the red and blue wires in. Manually press in the centre of the contactor and the two wires should now be shorted out.
