Hi, I have a problem with a Microturn, when I send the machine to home pisition this moves in the opposite direction in both axes, the problem arose due to change PC, as it damages the motherboard of the PC earlier. I installed the software and the surprise is not going home, away from home (goes to the chuck), if I press the home switches, the current position is saved as home but the directions of the axes are inverted. if I press the lefth arrow key the Z-axis moves in the opposite direction marking a negative trend, the same thing happens with X.

What could be the cause?
How could I eliminate the mistake?

The easiest way to sort it out is to swap the polarity on a phase to each of the stepper moters.

If they are wired in colours the Black & Orange will be one side & yellow & red the other.

Therfore change swap the Black & Orange over.

Thanks for the idea but it did not work, I had inverted terminals black and orange in both steppers moters, when I send the machine to home, it arrives at the switch but never released (not save the position of home) and sometimes goes to the chuck. Any other idea?

I think that the problem can be the parameters, I understand that they are on file fanucml.opt, but I don’t know each one of them and if they are correct

From what you are reporting it now sounds as if you are missing a phase to the stepper motors or the drive card is faulty.

Try measureing the resistance of each pair of windings. Should be around 2 ohms & open between pairs.

I do not know if this is relevant on your machine, but try this in the OPT file

For your information,
1 == Negative Datum seek
3 == Positive Datum seek

Are you using the original software disk that came with the machine, or have you downloaded new software?
