After posting the following in the wrong board someone kindly pointed me here and this is the machine I have. It is a 1996 - the schematics I see here seem to be 2000 and up. Any info on this old machine would be appreciated as I have zero knowledge of these.
I acquired a Tech Design by Lab Volt CNC Mill. Tag says:
Tech Design
Machine S/N: SP40703A
Electronics S/N: OC00134827
Nov 1996
I have a machine that the cords have been cut and I have no paperwork. Any info available? Wiring Diagrams? Software ? Hardware differences to look for? Conversion possibilities?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: Tech Design / Micromill
Finally had a chance to read a little on this unit. Not up to speed yet. SO it looks like I have an antique. EPROM esMINT/3.28 v1.6h/S-JD5
I have no software for it. What will it take to run it - I am assuming all electrical is ok.
Not being up to speed I will ask another question - is it possible to use a generic control setup? Anyone done this? Any site anyone could point me to?
The machine is like new - hate to scrap it....

Re: Tech Design / Micromill
Wow - been 9 months and no replies? Just got time to delving into it and thought someone may have some ideas by now....
Seems like someone would have converted this unit before - looks like a tiny G board may work. Will let you know.

You should be able to download the original software from the Denford website,
https://website.denford.ltd.uk/support/9 ... s-software
You will need a computer with a Com port to run it.
