Cannot connect to MicroturnNS
Now I have several issues that I are dealing with.
I did an upgrade with the microturn NS and it was asking for the registration disk. When I put my registration disk in it says it needed to be formatted, which usually means the disk is inoperable. Prior to doing an upgrade I was getting an error message saying cannot connect to the microturn and was advised by Denford to do the upgrade. How can I get my machine up running by the end of the week and a new registration disk?

Re: Cannot connect to MicroturnNS
I've split this into a new topic and put it in the MicroTurn section.
Are you clicking the Upgrade button as the VR Turning software loads up ?
If the VR Turning software is working OK then ignore the registration disk issue.
How do you connect to the machine ? USB or RS232 ?
What version of VR Turning are you using ?
Can you supply us with the serial number of the machine, eg E00668

Re: Cannot connect to MicroturnNS
The up-grade is what is currently available today.
Connection to the lathe is the usb cable
model number is Microturn ns
serial number is U00644/1
original software is v.1.16

Re: Cannot connect to MicroturnNS
Have you put the latest VR turning version onto a new PC ?
I think you will have the old style license disk - they key here is to find the file called flash.ini (try reading the floppy on another PC)
See here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=100
Once you have copied the flash information into ..program files\denford\vrturn.ini then the software should work OK
From here then we need to find out what your connection problems are - is the USB cable connected OK, has a fuse blown, has the cable come away inside the cabinet...etc..

Re: Cannot connect to MicroturnNS
There has been an issue recently where the software is asking for a license when it starts, but if you continue then it works ok.
