new easimill owner - some questions

Post by ricey3 » Sat 09 Nov , 2013 22:29 pm

hi guys

just purchased an easimill with heidenhain control.

I'll either be buying a rotary phase convertor or converting over to single phase.

I have a few questions that I hope you can help with. the plate on the side of the machine says the F.L.C (full load current?) is 26A! I thought this is incredibly high. the manual also says total power consumption is 13kw! spindle motor is 13kw. the spindle motor is 1.5kw. surely the control and axis drivers co some a further 11.5kw?? the rotary convertor would need to be as big as the garage.

my other questions were to ask typical power consumption figures for control, axis drives and coolant motor so I could start planning transformer requirements.

cheers
brendan
