Easiturn3 PNC3 RS232 link to Ind text editor issues

Post by Adee » Sat 06 Sep , 2008 22:08 pm

Hi
I know there is a lot of threads relating to this kind of problem, I have read most of them, but can not seem to work out how to get my link working.

I have managed to save a programs back to the DOS ind text editor on my pc no problem, just can not download them to the PNC3 control.

I get a error message 01, which looking in my manual states 'parity error'
I have checked these setting and they're 7,1 & even, in the ind text editor.

I was wondering if my program format maybe wrong, although I just try sending back the program I receive from the control.

Any ideas would be great!

Yipee!
All working ok now thanks to Simon Rafferty.

I had my stop bit setting incorrect should of been '2' not '1'

But Im sure the manual states stop bit '1'

Anyway all sorted now.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.
