Hi again gents.. Hoping you can help with a long standing fault which has been accepted for far too long!

Machine info:

Harrison TU150P Model A
Built 1994
Serial No. TP0015
Software ver. 7.7D
GE Fanuc OT

Machine shows a workshift error in z of 3.9mm every time graphics is run!

We currently have to switch machine off, reboot and reset z datum to billet again to clear error.
Anyone every suffered with this sort of fault?

Any help appreciated

Mark :D

It sounds very much like an original bug - even though the Fanucs were very well tested and reliable, there will still be the odd bug which could only be fixed with a workaround (eg, using the graphics differently somehow) or by system update (not that easy as it would mean getting hold of newer system ROMS images and blowing new EPROMS)

From what im told, it has been a fault that came with the machines originally but not sure if machines where new at that time!

Oh well!! :(

I remember trying out the graphics simulation on the early Fanuc controls many years ago, and coming to the conclusion that it wasn't finished or fully tested.
On the other hand, the Heidenhain TNC155/355 Milling graphics was light years ahead.
